Health – Physical & Mental Goals:
Without good health, all other achievements lose their significance. Prioritizing both physical and mental well-being is essential. Setting fitness goals, adopting a balanced diet, and practising mindfulness are just a few ways to take care of your body and mind.
Business/Career Goals:
In the realm of business and career, it’s vital to set clear objectives that align with your professional aspirations. Whether it’s advancing in your current job, starting your own business, or switching careers, these goals shape your work life and financial security.
Financial Goals:
There is a great deal of power in setting financial goals. These objectives could involve saving for retirement, investing wisely, paying off debts, or creating a financial safety net for your loved ones. Financial security paves the way for a worry-free future.
Spiritual Goals:

Exercise: 1: Map out where you are now. On a blank sheet of paper, draw a circle and divide into 8 segments. Label each segment:
- Personal Growth/Education
- Health – Physical & Mental
- Family
- Business/Career
- Financial
- Spiritual
- Social
- Community
Rate yourself by placing a dot on the Axis and then joining the dots (as shown in the illustration). It will be immediately apparent if you are neglecting some areas of your life.
Exercise 2: Write out the things you want to achieve. Target 100 goals of things you wish to do across each area of life aiming for a balance of goals. Set your goals from the heart and don’t worry about how you will achieve them, for now, focus on getting them down on paper.
Some of your goals will be low-hanging fruit, in other words relatively easy for you to do. However, some will be much more difficult and/or rewarding. Divide your list into short-term (less than 12 months), medium-term (1 to 5 years) and longer-term (beyond 5 years). Action takers: Get started on achieving your goals, plan time in your diary regularly to achieve the goals, and find an accountability partner, if you need one. At least every 90 days, check your progress and reward yourself for what you have achieved. Build the process into your annual planning.
